About the Project
In 2010, ProBrasil Group was born within the ProBrasil Association, located in the far south of São Paulo – Parelheiros, the Group of Dance, initially with 24 members between the ages of 9 and 13, who participated in the Project Learning to Be.
The group first appeared on the stage of the UniItalo Theater with the choreography Carcará at the Festival Corpografia, where it conquered the so dreamed 1st place in the contemporary modality, beginner youth category. Still with this choreography we participated in two more festivals: CEU Campo Limpo Dance Festival where we won the 2nd Place and the CEU Parelheiros Dance Festival with the 1st place and the Best Dancer Award for our soloist, Ronaldo Batista.
We participated in the first festival with a more demanding technical level with the Maracatu choreography at the Festival Vida ao Corpo, where we conquered the 3rd place. We also won 3rd place at the Paulistano Dance Festival and 1st place at the CEU Uirapuru Dance Festival.
With the Magalenha choreography, we participated in two festivals – in Vida ao Corpo , we got the 1st and 2nd place. We also participated in Taboão Fest Dance and we won the 2nd place in the awards.
With the choreography Capoeira Brasil we participated in two festivals Vida ao Corpo conquering 2nd and 3rd place.
